Wilbert L. Cobb

January 5, 1933 — April 4, 2021

Neosho – Wilbert (Will) L. Cobb, 88, died April 13, 2021 in his home at Webwood Assisted Living. He was born on January 5, 1933 in Webb City, Missouri to Albert Cobb and Pearl Cobb Rogers. Will served 8 years in the Navy, part of that time in the Korean War. He earned the China Service Medal (extended), National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Korean Service Medal (1) engagement star. He was an Electrical Engineer and retired from Leggett and Platt. His hobbies included: Carpentry, working on automobiles, and refurbishing anything electrical. Survivors include: his wife of 59 years, Gladys Cobb of Neosho and 2 daughters: Carolyn Ryan of Neosho and Janet Martin of Branson. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl rogers, father, Albert Cobb, brother, Jared J. Cobb, daughter, Teresa Greathouse and grandbaby, Teresa Joan. Burial will be at the Springfield National Cemetery followed by a memorial service at Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ with Tye Zola officiating at 2:00 PM on April 19, 2021. In lieu of flowers please make contributions towards the “In Time of Need” foundation through Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
