Lamar, MO – Burnie Loyd Lawson, leaves behind Darlene, his wife of 31 years, four children; David, Donna, Cheryl and Allen, six step-children; Dina, Tina, Jackie, Richard, Shawn and Kim, fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and his sister Carole. After retiring from a career as a mobile home service technician, he continued to work on projects with his wife until his passing. Loyd loved fishing, dancing, shooting pool, telling one-liner jokes, playing his guitar, attending auctions and going to yard sales. Loyd will be missed and remembered by all who’s lives he touched. We were lucky to have had the privilege of knowing him. His family and friends meant the world to him.
You will be missed papa

Loyd was 4 years older and I always knew he was there if I needed him. From when we were kids to our senior years. He seemed to always be able to see things as they really were. I heard him say many times , “It is what it is”. My prayer for his Children and Loved ones is for Peace and Comfort, knowing that he now rests with his Lord and Savior. We loved him and miss him very much. Sending love and prayers to his family, His Sis Carole and Brother Jerry.

Loyd, I’m so heart broken to the point I don’t know what to say or even know how to deal with the loss. I have always loved you and respected you….you are my brother. I will always remember you as kind, compassionate and funny. I will always cherish the memories and take comfort knowing you are at piece with God. I LOVE YOU. And I will pray for Darlene’s comfort.
