Joplin, MO – Helen Lavita Rolleg, age 103, passed away on June 28, 2019. She was born on June 19, 1916 in Carterville, MO. Helen was a homemaker, and an avid inspiration to her family and friends. She was a die-hard baseball fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1946 she coached one season of 3rd grade boy’s baseball.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Rolleg, her son, Larry Rolleg, her brother, James Gray and her sister Betty Ensminger.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy and husband Gary Love of Joplin, MO, and daughter-in-law Joan Rolleg of Kansas City, MO. Grandchildren, Todd Love of Joplin, MO, Jyl and husband Hank Adair of Farmington, NM, Jackie and husband Karl Queen of El Paso, Tx, Jennifer and husband Chris Harvey of Kansas City, MO, Stephanie and husband Rick Gregg of Nixa, MO, and Chip Bowlby and wife Christina of Reno, NV. Se is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 4 nephews and 3 nieces.
The family will have a private graveside service on Saturday, July 13th. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Crematory.
