Franklin “Frank” Luett



June 2, 1933–February 27, 2018

Joplin, MO  Franklin “Frank” Luett passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 84.
Frank is predeceased by both parents, Amanda and Louis Luett, Siblings LeRoy, Gilbert, Elmer, his twin Fred, Robert (Bob), Mildred, and Arlene. Two children, Frankie Jr and Marion.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Judy, and sister Evelyn.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Colleen Hansen (Dave), Cathy Huffhine, Julie Crider, Debra Parkman (Dave), Tara Hara, Jerry Busch (Susan), Dale Luett (Christine), Darla Lebold (EF).   Grandchildren, Tammy, Jake, Branden, Jason, Amanda, Jessica, Melissa, Patrick, Michael, Nathan, Jeromy, Jennifer, Meggan, Justin, Skylar, Ava, Reed, Grant, Justina, and Nicholas. He had 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Frank was born in Lost Nation, Iowa on June 22, 1933. He graduated from high school in 1951 and shortly after enlisted in the US Navy where he served proudly during the Korean War. He was a jack of all trades. He retired from Chemplex as maintenance supervisor. He loved working in his wood shop where he made elaborate grandfather clocks and beautiful furniture for his friends and family. On sunny days you could always find him outside in his vegetable garden. On weekends he and his wife, Judy, liked to travel the area visiting historical sites and museums.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church (600 E. 50th St, Joplin) with Pastors Kenny Cox and Bob Wilkie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Paws with Possibilities, 2300 N Main St, Joplin MO 64801.  Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory.

  1. So sorry for your loss. Only met him one time but he was a very nice man who loved his family. Darla & Debbie are special friends & I know they will miss him so much. They were so blessed to have him as a Dad. May he RIP. Prayers for this family.
