Donald R. Lundstrum died October 12, 2017 at 82 years of age, born May 31, 1935. He passed in the comfort of his home.
He was survived by a daughter, Dawna Phillips and her husband, Robert Phillips; two grandchildren, Shelby Phillips and Kyle Phillips; three great grandchildren, Coleton, Bailey, Kyley Rotert; Bobbie Rose and many nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy Lundstrum and Laura Mansel Lundstrum; sisters, Betty Cox, Mary Barwick and Dorothy Grumbles; brothers, Bill, Jack, Bob and Rudy Lundstrum.
Donald was a cabinet maker for over 35 years and a teacher for 10 years. He served in the peace time Army for 2 years. He was a graduate of Joplin High School, Class of 1953, a graduate of Joplin Jr. College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Pittsburg State University. His greatest love in life were his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family wants to give a special thank you to the V.A. and Integrity. Also, the caregivers that helped out, Sandra Spencer, Sharon Potter and Janet Baines.
A committal of ashes will take place Wednesday, October 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
